British male walks over 1,500 miles to lift supports for streetchildren

Anything for a good cause!

63-year-old Brit Patrick Baddeley has walked for over 2,500 kilometers (1,553 miles) by India’s easterly seashore for charity, Times of India reports.

He set out from India’s southernmost tip, Kanyakumari, final October, walked 6 hours a day, and crossed 4 states and 3 dozen towns to strech Kolkata progressing this month. 

Baddeley’s K-Walk, named after his late daughter Katie, was started to lift supports for Future Hope, a not-for-profit that cares for travel children in Kolkata. 

And he’s managed to lift £11,757 ($12,715) from 124 supporters on fund-raising height JustGiving, so channel his strange aim of  £10,000 ($10,815). The supports will be used for a home, drill and medical of travel and dive kids. 


Baddeley’s scarcely five-month-long tour by Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Bengal has been chronicled on a K Walk Facebook page

It culminated Mar 1 during a Future Hope bureau in Kolkata.
