Kamiyah Mobley: ‘Tears of joy’ for stolen baby’s family

The grandmother of a lady stolen some-more than 18 years ago as a baby baby has described her “tears of joy” during finding that she is alive and well.

Velma Aiken told a BBC it was a good feeling to know that Kamiyah Mobley was “all right and looking good”.

Ms Mobley was abducted in Jul 1998 from a sanatorium in Jacksonville, in a US state of Florida.

DNA tests reliable her identity. The lady she suspicion was her mom was charged with kidnapping.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office pronounced Ms Mobley seemed in good health, a “normal 18-year-old woman”.

The bureau pronounced it had acted on 2,500 tips given a abduction and perceived one final year to that eventually pennyless a case.

It showed a strange combination images expelled during a time of a kidnapping, along with a sketch of Gloria Williams, 51, who was arrested on Friday morning during her home in Walterboro, South Carolina, 200 miles (300km) from Jacksonville.

Ms Aiken pronounced a family had a review with her granddaughter, in that they introduced themselves and Ms Mobley pronounced she would go to see them.

“All we know are tears of fun and complacency and a good feeling, meaningful that she’s all right and looking good,” Ms Aiken said.

The grandmother combined that she always felt that her granddaughter was alive and that whoever she was with was holding caring of her.

“We usually kept praying, anticipating and believing,” she said.

The baby was usually 8 hours aged when she was taken by a lady posing as a health caring workman during a University Medical Center, now famous as UF Health Jacksonville.

The lady told Kamiyah’s mother, Shanara, that her baby had a heat and indispensable to be checked. She took a baby out of a room and disappeared.

The box brought poignant media courtesy as Shanara attempted to locate her child.
